iPhone Night Photography in London using Slow Shutter Cam App
London was my next photo destination after I returned from Las Vegas. In this blog post I'll highlight some well known photo spots in London that I photographed with different iPhone models throughout the years.

Photo Spots for night photography in London
Though London has great photo spots for the day and night time, I prefer to photograph London at night. All the well known sights are so beautifully illuminated at night and will result in great photo memories from your London trip.
Big Ben
I think you know Big Ben, the famous clock tower in London. I took this photo of Big Ben in 2015 using an iPhone 6. Back then, the only camera app capable to take low noise photos at night was Slow Shutter Cam App, which is still my favourite camera app to take long exposures with iPhone. To learn more about this camera app, head to my Slow Shutter Cam App review or read my regularely updated blog post illustrating different ways of how to take long exposure photos with iPhone.
The view from the Shard
The Shard is the a skyscraper in London which was the tallest skyscraper in Europe and the European Union for a few months. You'll find a huge plattform at the top of the Shard from which you'll experience a 360 degree view over London. And that 360 degree view from the Shard is really awesome to take photos of the illuminated city at night. I did that in 2016 using an iPhone 6S plus and the newly introduced Pro Camera low light modes.
Long exposure of the London Eye
Another highlight for night photography in London is the London Eye. I go this 40 second long exposure of the London Eye in 2015 using Slow Shutter Cam App. That's one of the apps that enables you to do long exposure photos with iPhone. I've also published a workflow blog post explaining how I took and edited this long exposure of the London Eye.
Tower Bridge at night
Another photo spot in London that doesn't need any introduction is the beautifully iilluminated Tower Bridge. The first photo I took there as actually a snapshot I got using the built in camera app of the iPhone 6S Plus. I had to apply a bit of noise reduction and other edits using my favorite mobile photo editing app. To learn more about my favorite iPhone photo editing app please read my Adobe Lightroom Mobile review. In this review I'll also highlight, why I pay for a paid subscription and what's included.
And while you're at Tower Bridge, try capturing a long exposure of a typical red double-decker bus. Use one of the archways as a frame, mount your iPhone to a tripod and use Slow Shutter Cam App to capture a long exposure of a bus driving by. As I used a photo technique called framing in this photo, you'll find a blog post in my blog about few more ideas of how to use framing in photography.
