Ethics Statement

My goal is to inspire. Not to influence.

I created this page so that everyone knows exactly what’s happening on my site. Long time readers already know this, but I want to make it clear for old and new readers alike:

  1. This site is a personal blog - it’s not available for SEO link-building. In this blog I demonstrate what’s possible with mobile photography and try to show you a few small corners of the world I’ve been to as inspiration for your next trip.

  2. Because this website is a personal blog, I’ll only write about iPhone photo apps, iPhone photo gear, and traveling equipment I use myself (You know, it’s a personal blog!). So you’ll never see posts here like “5 travel tripods to ...”, “9 power banks to ...” or “17 iPhone lenses to ...”.

  3. If I write about an iPhone photo app or an iPhone photo accessory, then because I’ve been using it myself for some time - not just for a quick test for a blog post in exchange for a free product.

No one pays me to do those reviews or write the tutorials. I write them in the hope that they’re useful for other iPhone photographers and travelers.

In my blog posts, you’ll find links to online stores, where you can purchase those things I recommend and use like the iOS App Store, Amazon or the Moment Online Store.

Whenever you purchase something through one of these links, I may get a small commission from the total purchase price - but you don’t pay a cent more. I use this small amount of money to pay for hosting and to keep this site alive.

If we ever meet, I’ll happily show you all the apps and gear I’m talking about on this site. Just ask.

In those rare cases (0 so far) where a blog post may be the result of any form of cooperation, I will clearly state that in the blog post. Still, I will only engage in cooperations if I see that the product allows me to do something better, faster, more conveniently, or, at all (commonly referred to as "provides added value").

I know, I’m repeating myself, but you will never read “10 best power banks” or “20 awesome backpacks” type of posts on this website.

I shot all photos on this site myself. Older photos in the blog are from my compact, DSLR and mirror-less “era”. I originally edited them with various software on a Mac. When I made the switch to iPhone photography, I re-edited many of those photos to learn post-processing with an iPhone or an iPad. I constantly re-process older photos and update them.

The same that I’ve mentioned above applies to all my special media channels: FacebookInstagramFlickrTwitter, Behance and my portfolio web-site.

Thank you for reading this and if you have any concerns, do not hesitate to contact me.

And now let’s take some great iPhone photos together. Have you checked the latest blog posts?
